Husker match day

Nebraska volleyball game today

A single answer to one question: are the Huskers playing right now, and how do you watch? The board below reads from the 2026 schedule and updates itself — opponent, first serve, channel and venue all change on their own as the season moves.

Broadcast windows for volleyball are often confirmed late. If a channel still reads TBA an hour out, check the listing again — the board here refreshes on its own, but network assignments come from Nebraska Athletics and the Big Ten.

Before you go

Match-day notes

Doors and timing

Doors at the Devaney Center usually open an hour before first serve, and earlier for tournament weekends. Downtown dates at Pinnacle Bank Arena put you in the middle of Lincoln traffic, so leave extra room.

Time zones

Every time on this page is Lincoln time. West Coast road matches land late for anyone watching at home, and the countdown already accounts for the change from CDT to CST in November.

If you can’t watch

The Huskers Radio Network carries every match, and live stats run alongside it. Both are usually faster than a TV feed by a point or two.

How to watch

Finding the broadcast

Three checks, in the order that actually resolves the question fastest.

Start with the channel

Conference matches sit with Big Ten Network most weeks. Neutral-site and showcase dates move to national partners such as FOX or TNT, so the channel is not fixed across the season.

Then check the stream

If nothing is on cable, the match is usually on B1G+ or a network app. Both generally ask for a subscription or a TV provider login before the feed opens.

Fall back to audio and stats

Radio plus the live stat sheet covers a match well when no video is available, and it works for road matches that never get a broadcast window at all.

About this page

What the board is reading

The status box compares the current date and time in Lincoln against the 2026 fixture list, then shows one of four things: a match later today, a match in progress, a result from earlier today, or the next date on the calendar. Nothing has to be edited by hand for the opponent, time, venue or countdown to change.

Volleyball is unusual in how often its broadcast details move. A late-September match can be assigned to a network the week of, and tournament windows stay open until brackets are set. That is why channel and streaming fields can read TBA while the rest of the card is already firm.

Scores are the one field worth adding manually. Once a match ends, the board marks it complete and waits for a final result to be filled in.

Where the details come from

Fixture data follows the published Nebraska Athletics schedule, with broadcast assignments from Big Ten Network and the network partners carrying non-conference dates.

Full season fixtures

The complete 2026 schedule — all home, road and neutral-site matches with venues and start times — lives on the schedule home page. This page stays focused on the current date only.

Tournament dates

The Big Ten Tournament runs as a multi-day window rather than a single fixture. During those dates the board shows the window and the host venue until opponents and times are drawn.

Common questions

Questions fans ask on match day

The board at the top answers it directly. If the Huskers play today it names the opponent, first serve and venue; if they don’t, it rolls forward to the next date on the schedule and counts down to it.

Start times are shown in Lincoln time and vary by match, from noon starts on tournament Sundays to 9:00 PM Central for West Coast road trips. The countdown always points at the next confirmed start.

It depends on the date. Big Ten Network carries most conference matches, Nebraska Public Media picks up some home dates, and neutral-site events have gone to FOX and TNT. Anything unassigned shows as TBA until it is confirmed.

Often yes, through B1G+ or the app belonging to whichever network holds the match. Access usually requires a subscription or a pay-TV login, and a small number of road matches are audio only.

The score row on the match card shows live during play and holds the final afterwards. While a match is in progress, official live stats update faster than most broadcast feeds.
